I have a 85 Lt 250r and I was wondering what the top speed was , I just bought it yesterday and I don't know much about it. It has answer silencer and it is bore 30 over, boyesen power reeds. I also would like to know how to fix a crack in the swing arm were it hooks to the axle. thank you for taking time out to write

 

With stock tires and gearing I would say around 65mph.

 

65 doesn't sound right to me. I had my Polaris 400 sport doing 67 stock. I sold it before I ever had the chance to run an lt250r, but I figured it would have beat me.

A 230 does 65? a blaster doesn't do 65, and a blaster is faster than a 230. And your friend's LT is on steroids.

My friend has a 230 and it sucks big time, the wheelbase it so short and the power is pathetic! It's a learners quad and I am willing to bet big money ANY blaster will smoke it!

 

i'm not saying it won't beat his, my weel stance is wider than my friends 300ex (it can beat that), i'm saying mine will beat a blaster, i 've beat a 99 with fmf pie, and silencer and just about everything u can buy or do to it

 

QuadDude05: The topic is TOP speed. What does wheels stance have to do with that? By you saying track, I assume you mean MX. Top speed does not matter on the track. And as for being in the books, nope. I've raced my friend's 230 when I had my blaster.
