Default installing ZILLA chain slider & hotter spark

Hey, got my TM designs chain slider today for stock swingarm. it looks like there is a hole for one screw but i dont have a screw anything special on length or etc or just find one that works from the hardware store. I havent checked if there is a bolt in the swingarm as of now.

Secondly, i was foulin plugs a bit and I know why i dont want to get into that but it has to be like that till i get a new carb. The guy at napa told me he could give me a hotter burning spark plug and said it wouldnt do any damage to my bike but i wanted to bounce that off all of you before I ran it more than like 15 min. i gapped it the same and it started right up 3rd kick with the new plug.

This is merely my opinion... but a hotter plug WILL hurt your motor... DON'T DO IT!!!!
Correct your jetting issues and fix your problems the right way, not by adding a hotter plug... Hotter plugs don't burn any hotter, they merely dissipate heat slower than the std plug... More Heat = more detonation prone = kaboom!

Run the recommended plug... just my $.02

i totally agree with dune . IT WILL HURT IT !!!! it can even burn a hole in the top of your piston . as far as the chain slide ... the factory one either had a long bolt all the way from top to bottom or 2 . 1 on top and one on bottom . some had a bolt in the middle also . any hardware store should be able to hook you up.

BUT DO NOT RUN THE HOTTER PLUG !!change the jets to fix the prob . unless you want to replace the top end .

yea my guy said somthing was stripped and the float is shot and for new parts its 30 bucks and i can get a new carb for 50 so he told me it will bog down in 1st and second but runs ok once you get it opened up. right now im looking at a duncan racing 40mm carb for 50 bucks. never heard of a duncan racing carb... does it exist? Yea i had a bad feeling about the plug situation. Ill go return the one i havent put in and chuck the one I did.

oh yea, how hard is puttin the slider on? other than slide out the swingarm bolt so i can get it past there will i need to take it all the way out and move the swingarm up or down to get it on or can i just slide it part way out?

Hey CTATV

The Swing arm will after come off to put the slider on.
BUT be ready to change swing arm bearing!!! If the bearing are in bad shape it is a B!tch. It took me two days and Finally I had to cut the swing arm bolt with sawzall to remove my swing arm!!!
But now the bearing are good!!

Good Luck
Mike

yeah that swing arm bolt can be a Bitch.. They are not cheap to replace either.. Around $30 bUCKS!!! YIKES!!!!! If you take it out....you should replace the bearings in it and use some anti sieze on Long Swingarm bolt before you put it back in.

It doesn't have anything to do with the bearings. On mine, the swingarm pivot shaft welded itself somehow to the pivot bushing. The bearings were fine but I replaced them anyway along with the shaft and bushings. That OEM Suzuki stuff does not come cheap.

sam250 is right on the Money there.
The bolt might come out easy. You wont know till you try. LIke i said before the bolt isnt cheap to replace....arround 30- 40 $. JUst make sure you use some sort of anti seize or grease it up when you put it back in.
The TM design chain slidder is awesome ....great choice there.. That thing should last you forever. When i did my machine up, i put the whole swing arm and shock on and realized i forgot to put the TM chainslider on.......Needless to say i was pissed at my stupidity.
Had to take it all down and start again ....what a waste of my time....Hehehehe
That stuff happens though...lol
GL with it and let us know how you make out.. Im interested in hearing about this hell story...Heheheh
