does anyone know if a K & n filter will fit in the stock air filter box? If it does, do you have to do anything to carb? thanx

 

If it is the oem replacement, yes. If it is the "hard mount", no. They make both for thr Z400. If you leave the air box lid on nothing has to be done to the carb.

 

got mine from alba. its a kit that has an adapter allowing the new k&n to mount where the stock filter was. Had to remove snorkle & air box lid. ask for re-jetting kit. This mod made a huge difference in the z. for the better of course.

 

right on brother , got the same kit and it is sweet. also got the outerwear for the air box lid. looks reeeeal nice.
