hey i have a z400 with a team suzuki pipe and my buddy has a geared down raptor, if we both just pin the throttle who will have the better top speed?

 

If his gearing was stock your toast. If he just geared down one tooth your still toast.

 

Would be interesting to see though.With the Rappy geard down you should own him.

 

yeah he is only geared down one tooth. I don't know though you really think the raptor will smoke me in top speed? i know it's the almighty raptor but still. Anyone second his opinion?

that's what i thought you guys would say, i already raced him and i pulled away by a lot. it doesn't come down to the better rider cause it doesn't take a whole lot of experience to hold the throttle down on a road. my top speed was much better and i would say with the speed that i passed him at that i was at least a few miles per hour faster.

Hey FsT4WrD I see you have the 13 tooth front sprocket.
I orderd a 13 tooth front and a 41 tooth rear sprocket last night.I was just gona go with the 13 front but while I was surfing I read that
13/41 is the set up for mx/dunes.So I got both and gona try them out this weekend.Whats your input on the rear sprocket change?

 

i have a stock raptor and beat on a z400 both stock and even a tooth down for accelration i think it would still take and the pipe aint goin to give u more top just power to there and response.
