Default LT250R Steering Help please!!!!

I have an 1987 Lt250r. I bent the steering stem and replaced it. Now my steering is way too tight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and also get me back in the woods!!Text

You probably did not put it together correctly. I did the same thing when I rebuilt mine. Verify the order of all the washers and other hardware with the drawing in your shop manual, if you don't have a manual you can see the parts diagram here.

Also there is a bushing in the frame for the steering shaft. I'd suggest replacing it, since the bent stem likely over stressed it and made it wear. I dont think its expensive and itll tighten up the steering pretty well if its loose. By tighten I mean it will respnd quicker, not make it bind up.

Just a suggestion, is all.
