i just got this quad . i dont know what year it is . or what model it is. the plate on the frame says LT230E and then there is an (h) after please does anyone know so i can get parts

 

The model is LT230E

The "H" designates it as being a 1987 model.


Don't forget the "E" portion of 230 when ordering parts.....as there are 4 different versions of the Suzuki 230 models.

 

thank you doe you know if the valve cover gets a gasket or just sealant

 

is there a way to decode the vin

 

i got one and i bought 2 different gasket kits and neither one had a valve cover gasket so im pretty use sealant is used

 

what sealant works best

 

i do not know i would guess just a regualar auto parts store liquid gasket. do you have aim if so whats your s/n i have some spare parts

get the red high temp sealant from local store, works awesom, i make all my flat gaskets, and o rings out of this stuff.

 

BEFORE DOING THAT CALL VINCE AT VINCE CYCLE AT 1-270-527-8921 HELL HAVE ALL YOUR ANSWERS. WHEN I BOUGHT MY DAUGHTERS 230E IT HAD SILICONE USED AND HE TOLD ME THAT IS A NO NO TO HAVE CAUSE IT CAN OOZE INTO THE INSIDE OF ENG AND CLOGG OIL PUMP.
