How to burnout with an auto clutch?

If its has separate front and back brakes, just clamp on the front, stand on the pegs and lean forward.
Another way, and this is much harder on parts, from 1st gear, at a stop, lift and hold up the shifter(itll be in a neutral condition), rev it up, and while its revving and holding the gas open, let the shifter go. Be aware, if you have too much traction, itll be a wheelie.

How-a-bout... pour a bunch of bleach on the ground under the tires and have a buddy pick up the back of yer quad and put it in maybe 2nd if it has the power. Lean way forward over the bars while flooring it, and have him put the tires back on the ground, in the bleach slowly. You may only be able to do this in first though.

i had a 91 suzuki quad runner 250, and i would go 5th gear pinned, down shift as quick as i could so i would coast 5th gear speed in nuetral, and push down the lever one more so its like holding in the clutch basically. then i pulled the reverse lever back so as soon as i lift up my foot it will be in reverse. then i hold it pinned and let up my foot. the tires smoke in reverse whil i am going 40+ forward. tha tis a beater quad. never do that to a good quad unless u have a lot of $. bad bad bad

i have a warrior and what i do, is i put it in 2nd and crank it on a corner, while leaningto the inside with the front break on. be carefull though. if it hooks up good, than u will roll. dont ask how i know[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

The auto clutch is just like a manual clutch but it is linkaged to de-clutch when the lever is pushed or pulled. So that means if you are in neuteal, then you can pull it into first and hold the pressure. As soon as you let the shifter go the clutch is engaged and if you lift it again it will declutch alright but shift you into second gear too. So. Pull up the lever and HOLD it up, don't let it go down. Rev the motor. Drop the lever down. You just dropped the clutch. You will most likely be standing the quad on the back rack instead of the burnout you imagined. Anyway thats how the auto clutch works. Just like a hand lever clutch. 'cept its tied to the shifter. (There's a centrifugal clutch built in as well, so that you don't stall when you put it in gear at an idle) That's why on the king quad it is good to change ranges or 2 to 4 wd on the fly by changing foot gears at the same time. Smooth as silk, because you have declutched the motor. If you're in 5th of low, tug the shift lever up even though there are no more gears as you tug it into high range. You won't believe how smooth it goes.
You can see what I mean if you are in fifth gear on the king quad and you lift the lever. Rev rev. the clutch is in. If you are going downhill you will pick up speed and the motor will go down to idle. Not entirely a safe thing to do but that's how it works. You can get the holeshot on somebody by doing that trick where you go into first from neutral and hold the lever up. They'll wonder what happened. Not for long though if you have a king quad. Not much oomph there, stock.
Dumping the clutch from a dead stop like that is fairly stupid though. You'll be tearing something expensive out in no time. If you want to do burnouts, get an old hulk of a car and pour automatic transmission fluid on the tires. Way more satisfying. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
