Hi, I am hoping someone here can help me out. I have recently picked up a 1986 LT230GE quad. The problem is that it needs a rear axle. This machine is shaft drive and all I seem to be able to find for used axles are off machines that are chain drive. Mostly from LT230S models. Are chain drive and shaft drive axles interchangable?

umm, i dont believe they are, one has to mount a gear, the other has to mount a sproket and a disc brake. Check Midwest action cycle or Suzuki wholesale of nevada. They might be able to "hook you up" Otherwise go to the dealer and have them run the microfiche, it may be the same axle they use in the LT250 (ozark) currently.

 

I have a Lt230GE and i am parting it out. The motor runs well, trans shifts good and the rearend feels good and is complete, only missing the driveshaft.
