Sorry, hit the wrong button. I bought a completely stock 87 LT250R. Looking for new rims for sand tires when I noticed the rear hubs have 4 lugs, not 5 like I think they came from the factory. Am I wrong or could it just be an early 87 with leftover 86 hubs?

85-87 all used the same 24 spline axle. 88-92 used a 26 spline axle. From what I understand a few 88's have the 24 spline axle as they switched to 26 spline during early production. This is why it is not uncommon to see a 87 with a 4 bolt pattern. As a matter of fact, all the axles are interchangable so if you really want the 4 bolt pattern on you 92(for example) then you can put on a 85 axle.
