tip #1 - TAKE IT EASY,

i aproched things the oposite way i got zilla as my first quad and have added a 250 recently,

just take things easy and get a propper feel for what your sat on, your zilla will stand up strait in third in the blink of an eye from nothing more than a walking pace and the engine ticking over.

it is not an animal to ever trust 100%

I went from a 1986 fourtrax 250r to my lt500 and now I will not give up my zilla for anything. My wife has a DS650 and I have looked at other quads but I have not found anything yet that is better than by LT500. You just need to remember that it is wider than your 250 other than that just have fun with it. I have had mine since new and have had no major problems, has been very reliable.

My opinion is that it is a wide bike for trail riding and it is really torquey so you have to be careful not to launch yourself off a trail or cliff by giving it too much gas. Keep your weight over the handlebars when hilclimbing or you will wheelie over (happened to me). The bike is definitely a handfull when tuned correctly but all around it is an awesome experience. Just respect it or you'll bust yourself up real quick, I have a few times.

Well, all I can add is make sure your on a compression stroke when you kick it over........If it kicks back and bites ya you might be too bashful to try to start it again...

Same here other than the DS, girlfriend is on my TRX. All we do is ride trails. I love the Zilla on the trails, its my
hot rod tractor. You can leave it in third and putt around all day and not get beat to death. The TRX has to be on the pipe to make power, the Zilla just has it.

Dont kick it in flip flops.

Have FUN
