Default Premix ?'s

I relize this is probably a worn out question but I just got my quadracer and dont want to melt it down. The guy at the shop told me to mix mine 45:1. Then i came here and all i see is people talking about 24:1 and 32:1 so i wanted to know if 45:1 was alright. my oil says its a synthetic and my engine is out of an ATC 250R but i think all 2-strokes are the same mix. Please let me know if I'm doing alright and correct me if im wrong. I also noticed that it doesnt smoke anymore since i put the 45:1 in it, is this ok? I just thought there was atleast supposed to be some smoke from a 2-stroke.
thanks for any info

I have always run 32:1 in all my 2-strokes. I also ban any synthetic TWO-STROKE oil from my garage. Now, this is obviously only my opinion. BUT, I'm one of the few people who DON'T buy a 4-stroke for reliability and say the LT500 IS a reliable machine. Just food for thought.

Why? Synthetics are said to protect your engine more and definitely burn cleaner. Have you had a different experience?

They seem to run away from heat. Next time you scuff a piston with synthetic, feel the damaged area. Is it oily?
