need more juice on my vinson!

I was wondering if anybody has put a bigger generader on,or anything else to strenghen the charging system on their vinson. The reason being i have alot of things sucking electricity from the battery(winch, lights, fog lights front and rear) and when riding at night sometimes the battery gets weak even though i always leave the machine running. Any advice would be great.

I'm not sure about bigger alternator, though i doubt you need one. because a too big an alternator can overload a battery.
But you probably just need a bigger battery that can handle your electrical demand.
Some people who have a lot of electrical load sometimes tandem a second battery with the original.
I would just look into a battery that exceeds the OEM battery ampacity.

i went to wal-mart and got a big battery for it i had the same problem as you, i will go outside tomorrow, and give you the number, you have to remove all the pads, and battery tray, and push it in to the spot to make it fit, but trust me it will crank forever, and has cold cranking amps galore.

Whare did you order it from?
Did you install it, if so is it reasonably easy to do?
How much was it, and do you think it was worth it???

i ordered it from FST(four stroke tech) mickey dunlap, i think it was like 110$, installation is as easy as pulling the head, i guess it is kind hard, but i had alot of practice from my 230......ahh that thing glad we departed from each other. yea it was worth it, anything to go faster, i would get a secondary spring for the clutch from dalton industries. like 30$

581 did you get a number for that battery, and how much heavier is it than the stock one? Where did you notice the most gain with that cam. Im looking for more mid range or top end.
