Default 03/04 SKID PLATES

I bought a New skid plate. I got the DG BAJA FAT Series skid plate. They dont have them for the 04 yet so the guy sold me the 03. He said it would fit but it doesn't. anyone else have this problem?

Going to post a pic so you can see for yourself.

I talked to DG last week and they said they are sending out the 'o4 skid plates now and should be in the dealers soon. I've got a '04 Z and decided to go with the pro armour after looking at the differences in the DG skids, even though the pro is a little more cash, I think its worth it. I bought the complete system from rocky mountain but its still in shipment. thats the only thing i've bought for my Z and it only has about 3 hours on it. i didn't get a owners manual for it yet so i think the break-in is about 2 tanks of fuel? or about 20 hours ridden?

you think the proarmour is better? Why? I looked at both and decided to go with the DG. 1/4 inch thick. I also liked how it had some holes to draing the mud.

Send me a private message if you want it in PDF format. Those people on ebay stole it anyways. Yeah yeah two wrongs don't make a right but whatever.

10 hours or 100 miles is breakin.

thier both good plates, DG says thiers is .190 thick 6061 aluminum, is that a 1/4 inch? got me! one difference is the proarmour is a two piece plate that has a small plate that bolts to the shock linkage to protect it, now does the DG plate extend up enough to protect the linkage? the plastic stock ones are a joke. also on the frame armour it has a hole for the oil drain so you don't need to remove it eveytime for a o.c. DG said you maybe able to bore out the holes to get the '03 to fit the '04, but I'd return it if possible and get the one for the '04. thanks for the info on the break in, I'll look on e-bay also

No thats true the skid plate doesn't cover the linkage. The pro Armour does? You got a Pic of it?

1/4" is .250".

1 divided by 4.

Put down your Dirt Wheels and pay attention in class.

.190" is basically 3/16 (.1875").
