Chain ?
If I put a 13th sprocket on the front and a 39th on the back will I have to get a new chain.

Chain ?
How old is the chain? If the teeth on the sprockets are not worn down and hooked then its probably ok. Its always good practice to change chain and sprockets together, but its not written in stone. My last chain was wasted well before the sprockets, the rear was still like brand new. I just flopped a new chain on it and havent had a single problem.
