who does/dosnt use thrust washers on their wristpin?there has been alot of debate about these darn things latley.mine broke and totally screwed up my rebuild and 2 different wiseco techs told me it was ok to not use them as long as you have them on ur crank pin.i dont think im going to use them this time around and see how it goes.its 2 less things to break.
so who all uses them and who all dosnt?

just checked duncans website. requires special bearing. If you put it together without the washers the wrist pin bearing will move out of the rod and cause bearing failure.
the new bearing is wider so it stays centered in the rod. thats what the washers do. they have a piston kit with bearing for $145.
although wiseco probably knows what their talking about too.

on the LT there is a gap between the piston and the top of the rod thats filled by a thrust washer on either side of the rod. I dunno know why suzuki did this but it causes big headaches.

let me ask you this needaR. you have this build list under your topics were it says .030 over wiseco piston. when you took it apart it had the thrust washers right? so why not put them back in?
