well i got it running today.it has a stedy quiet knock in the engine tho.is this normal for a fresh just started top end rebuild?

 

Is it a knock (low tone) or a tick ( high pich...sorta) . No a knock is not normal ....does it stay with it even if you rev it a little?

 

its just like a quiet t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t kind of tick.you cant really hear it when you rev it.

 

it dosnt want to idle eaither.i tried adjusting it but with no luck.will this straightn out when its fully broke in?my powervalve is sticking,when i move it by hand it moves but catches on burs or something.kinda feels like it clicks when it moves.which way can i turn the spring so it opens at lower rpm's?

 

When I first started my engine after the rebuild, it sounded a little weird at first too.

 

its probably normal...you just havent heard your wheeler run in so long you forgot what it sounded like. haha
