Hello all. First post on this board. I have a 2003 Vinson manual (first ATV) with 200 miles. This bike is awesome. I have a noise coming from what sounds like the rearend itself. When under throttle and coasting, it produces a sound similar to what noisy mud tires sound like on the highway. It is not the tires as it does it on any terrain. If you put it in neutral while rolling (hold up on the shifter), the noisy goes away. It only does it while under load-mainly under drive.. The oil level is good and the dealership said it is not an abnormal noise. It has done it since day one. I am close to running a big Hatfield Mccoy weekend and I want to make sure this is not a problem. Thanks for any input.

 

Hey Dave. I've had an 03 Vinson auto for about 8 months now and also have had that noise sometimes since it was new. Have about 1000 miles on it now and the noise has lessoned somewhat. Its just one of those "normal" noises for this machine. I love the vinny and have had 0 problems!!. Have fun on your ride![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].
