Just purchased new Eiger 400 5speed. Looking foward to a great time hunting and mudding. Traded in Suzuki LTF-250f and excited about getting new one in the woods. Any suggestions about care and if there are mud flaps or fender extensions available for it. Thanks

I've gone through some mud and water at pretty high speed, and the only water I get is coming from the wind blowing it back on me. The fenders, in my experience, are MORE than adequate.

Congrats! I would get a inline fuel filter for it. Other than that, enjoy!

My next atv will be the Eiger 4x4 5spd. if I can't sell my 02 TB 250 then I will trade it in, local dealer is selling 04 Eigers with automatic 4x4 for $4700 so a 5spd should be a little cheaper.

I need to be more clear. What I am looking for, are something that I could use for fender gaurds to protect the top and edges of the fenders. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Not that I've seen. SERIOUS lack of A/M parts for Eiger right now.

Muddy Eiger. I see you mentioned to get an inline fuel filter, I'm curious at to why you said that. I ask because last hunting season, I have a carb problem, kept flooding and filling the airbox with fuel. Took the car apart out in the woods, never found debris, but just cleaned it all out and its working fine now. I did buy an inline fuel filter, but curious to hear your story.

Basically the same story. It took about 800 miles before I starting having a problem, running like crap. Then one day, it seemed fine, so I went out with some friends. Again, it acted up. It started fine, idled fine, but once I gave it the gas, it would just spit and sputter. I "limped" out of the woods and when I got it home, I took the carb off and went to clean it. I saw little black plastic shavings in there. I assume that it wasn't cleaned properly from the factory. Once the filter was installed, no problems since, and I now have 1100 miles on it.

I agree about the filter , plus if you get a clear filter you can tell if have water in the fuel. New info also, I bought spare plastic fasteners through Auto Zone, They are 5/16 and 1/4 plugs w/plastic phillips inserts. 3$ for 15
