2004 eiger 400 high altitude changes?
Hey Everyone! Taking my eiger to 10000 ft in Colorado. Spoke to my dealer today that said I would not have to rejet it, but just crack open the air cleaner cover and cover the opening with cheesecloth. That change will give it the extra air that it needs in high altitude. Anyone ever do this before and how did it work? Thank you!

My mountain rides start at around 4,000', and ascend to more than 10,000'. But, I also run at sea level (or even below!) sometimes. So, I stay jetted for sea level.
I run two TIP valves in my airbox lid. As a ascend, I open them up for more air, and then when I descend, I close them back down. Above 10,000', I just pull the airbox lid completely off. The system works great! You can ride everywhere (even on the same day), without having to constantly rejet. And, it is inexpensive.
