Hey guys I just got off the phone with Suzuki Corp.
I told them the size of the piston for the LT500R which was 1.50 and they looked it up
and said right now it's at .060 over and it can be bored up to .120 over !!!
THIS ROCKS *** !!!!!!!!!!! They said don't worry it's got lots of life in the cylinder!!!
I AM SOOOO HAPPY RIGHT NOW ... can you tell????

 

So then that 1.50 means 1.5mm overbore. 1 mm = .0394" x 1.5 = .0591" or basically 60 thousandths.

You're good to go.

 

wow! thats alot of cylinder. I didn't know that you could bore it that far. Cool!

 

Hey shadyrascal are you a machinest ? I know your a pro rider but you also talk like a machinest.
I suck at math and machinest's have to be on top of their math that's why I'm asking.

 

yeah i had mine bored out just to loose a few pounds..................................LOL

think im running at 88.5mm and going for the RX rebuild
