i am planning on getting me a new quad. i was wondering what i should get, a rappy or a z? i ride sand alot and want what is best for me. i am 16 155lbs waht do you guys think would be best for me??? i'm leaning towards a z.

either of them are good.

 

have you thought about the predator?very strong well built quad.of the two i would get the raptor for sand.has more power to shoot up the dunes.z is an excelent trail machine.

 

I own a raptor, but I would have to say a Z-400 because of you weight. There are still a lot of performance mods you can do for the Z-400 later when you want to upgrade.

 

I had a Rappy and have a friend with a Z-400. To me, for the average rider there is very little handling difference unless you are racing circle track, compared to my 250R they both feel tippy with the Raptor being only a little worse. For the sand I would definitely get the Raptor, they are just so much more powerful in the big dunes.

 

I would say Z, and if you don't need reverse then i would look at the predator its better then the Z in every way but lacks reverse(who needs reverse anyway)....

Plus the predator comes with alot of cool things stock you wont have to buy later on.

 

i like the z's suspention better than the pred.

 

If you are going to be racing in the sand or riding dunes the raptor has lots of torque and gains huge power from low to top end. The raptor also wkaes up real nice when you add a pipe. My brother has one with the ct pipe and I can't catch him ever.

 

okay i'm getting a z!! after seeing 03hmfz' 400 how could you not want one of those. he has the baddest z ever!!!!
