Z400 At Marienville, PA!
I went to opening weekend at Marienville, PA (allegheny forest) on memorial weekend. Man, it was so much fun on my Z. I rode there on a auto eiger before, so you can imagine the difference. One of the coolest parts was having the trailtech speedometer on my bike. On the trail, the bike topped out right around 60.8 mph. Man, it was flying. It could've gone faster I'm sure, but this was on a trail with bumps and slight hills and everything. Also, you have to watch out for other people and everything. I rode just around 100 miles altogether. I can't wait till I go back yet again around 4th of July with a full pipe on it (performance-wise it's completely stock).
Another thing I did halfway through the trip, which I'd recommend to others, is tigthened the front suspension. Stock, the 400 seems to bottom out pretty easily in the front. I put it as tight as possible and it made a very nice difference.
Anyone else check out Marienville this past weekend?
