Just showing off my frame gussets. Click on my camera. I put 3 of them on there. My boyfriend fabricated the gussets and had his friend weld them on. Cost a whole $6.00!

Check to be sure that your radiator shroud will clear your gussets. Mine didn't; Had to switch to a fullbore shroud....

Yeah, we really like the jack. It makes things a lot easier. As for the posts stating that we overdid the gussets....did you think my honey would have done me wrong? Why not do a good job on it while it's apart. I'm not planning on jumping anything to tell you the truth, but with the reports of weak frames, we had to do it. I have before and after pictures. There wasn't anything wrong with. In fact, it was the nicest one we've seen. If ever anything would have gone wrong with it, it would ruin my powdercoating job.
It's the best $6.00 I ever spent!
Just dropped it and some other parts off today to get dipped, then it's on with the powdercoating!

Nothing wrong with playing it safe Lolli2. You did the right thing and didn't overdo it by any means.I had Lonestar do my chassis and they did an awesome job.I was a little leary about spending $300 on a gusset job but, once I got the finished product back (did the powdercoating myself which is why it cost me $300 instead of $600) I immediately knew it was money well spent. They finished every weld on the chassis and added 10 bars and gussets. The chassis is pretty much bulletproof and didn't gain that much weight. $300 sure beats having to spend $700 on a new chassis that would still have the same weakness...........

Wow! Your quad is really nice! How did you powdercoat the frame yourself? Do you have a huge oven? It looks really nice. What color blue is that? I think I'm gonna go with the candy red.
Thanks!
