Default Z400 brake problem

While I was riding today I heard a sound coming from my rear brakes that sounded like the pads were rubbing so I took the rear brakes off and tried to see if a rock was in their or something and they won't go back out far enough to go back on. They still go in when I press the rear brake pedal but they do not go back out far enough so that they dont rub. Does anyone have an idea what I need to do to fix this?

i had the same problem once before. to fix it just unadjust ur parking brake. that allows u to push in the master cylinder more and then ur brakes should fit on.
vinnie u cant even fix ur own z400 hahaha
thats okay though i got pulled over on mine and i got three tickets. 1 for being underage, 1 for not having insurance and riding on the road, and this is the good one -1 for driving excess of 80miles an hour on the road.

Default Z400 brake problem

I am currently a mechanic working on various vhicles some with sqeeky brakes. Cars that come in with problem are fairly easy to correct.
- Remove brake caliper.
- Remove brake pads from calpier.
- Clean up caliper and brake pads.
- Place a small amount of heat resistant grease on all the parts of the pads that come in to contact with the capliper. Carefull not to put any on break pad surface!!!
- Replace all parts as removed.

This should solve the problem of your sqeeky brake(s).
