They are good but if you do any huge jumping you might want to just get a gusset kit.

Define HUGE?
I am a 230lb guy.. I like to do jumps on the trail but I am not an MX rider or crap like thap. I like to get a few feet of air and such mostly flat landings...

hey mudstud, the frames were fixed in the late '03s, they added the subframe and a removeable rear grab bar. I wated till the '04s to buy mine. I don't know of any changes with the '05 models, you might talk to the dealers and find out if any changes, but i'd buy a used '04 if you can find one.

I know that they did add piggy back shocks up front and the TPS for ignition and carb.. They look sweet.

Suzuki also raised the Z400's price $100.00.

these atvs just keep getting more high tech and badass every year, in the future they probley be all computer controlled and the typical do-it youselfer woun't be able to touch it. itall will be fuel injected and impossiable to trouble shoot, just my .02 cents on that!!

Mudstud,

I doubt you will have a problem with a Z for the riding you described, Unless you plan on racing mx, but you would need a heavier setup for racing than stock anyway. Get ya one, they're good quads.
later sparx
