i'm new to this forum but ive been on plenty others, just wondering if anyone has run on asphalt and what your times are like.

I have only done the quartermile on my Zilla a couple of time's and with the wrong tire's on the rear and the wrong gearing,I managed to get aa 13.32 out of it.

zuk i know that thing can go faster than that but its still fast. i've had a 7.7 at 87 with a little nitrous so far. wasnt by any means a perfect run though. my internals are 6 years old i think i need to at least re-ring her too.

 

Yeah gogoquadzilla I agree,I only went two time's there with it.The first time I was running alky and at the 660 I was going 96.5MPH and the time was a If my memorie serve's me right was 6.7,then the cylinder cracked on bothside's half way into the transfer port's.A new cylinder and NOS,and like I mentioned in my other post,that 's why I got what I got for a time,But yeah I sure did spank the Vette's that were there,and MUSTANG'S,CAMERO'S,by half track.I would cross over the finishline,go to the returnlane and watch them finish their race,and the look on their face's when they drive by as I'm smiling at them is priceless.

 

was that run on an alky lt motor at 550cc & nos? thats especially not a great 1/4 time if you were running a 6.7 660, did you run out of gear before the 660'?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] what was your 1/4 mph? i had a motor that cracked in the same exact place too

is the 550cc bored or stroker?

 

I have never arn the quater mile but I did clock my z twice. Stock It went 73 mph. With some mods it went 82 mph. I have since chaged the gearing on it for top end. I stock trim I cut the fenders and it went 76 mph. This was all done on flat pavement and timed with a state troopers radar gun.

 

Yes the run was on alky,and I think that I finally had it dialed in or at least very close,then the crack happened.I bought a new cylinder and had it punched .080,put NOS on it and got rid of the alky.It's running VP race gas and NOS when I did the 13.32.I know that it can do a quicker time and speed,I just have'nt tinkered with it cuz of 300ft.drag racing.Another factor to the slow time is my holeshot and the 47 tooth back sprocket.The next time I go I'll put the stock gearing back on and go from there.

 

ZUK, what are the best mods one could do to produce the most Hp out of a 500? ANYONE??
