Default New Vinson Auto Owner with some questions

Hi All

Im from Lisbon Portugal and just traded in my ozark for a Vinson Auto and have some questions for all u vinson Owners

i've been coming to this forum for some time now and reading the vinson posts made me buy this fantastic atv

I'm breakin in the vinson with 6 hours/250 Km so far.

i do all kind of terrains from mud to rock climbing from open trails to forest/ mountain tight trails

Here go the questions:

how much hourse power in the vinny?

SkidPlates: Ricochet suzuki others?

Warn Winch: 2500 or 3000 (the only brand i have in portugal and for waranty reasons i have to get it here)

Bumper: warn others? from what i've seen the warn bumper covers the front end partialy wont it keep the air flow from reaching radiator therefor heat the vinsion up?

winter tyres : Mudlites others?

Summer tyres: which ones, for open trails (skiding purposes)

extra lights: warn kit for the warn bumper

storage: for the back rack?

At these point this is it

thanks in advance for your replies.

Hp-Don't know, don't care-ENOUGH!
Skid plates-Either
Winch-2500 is good-3000 can have wireless remote
Bumpers-Suzuki or Kimpex-although with the extra lighting you're wanting, Warn might be the way.....
Tires-Mud-lites or Bear Claws year 'round-for good all around tires. If you start specializing, you're talkin $
Storage-ATV Logic-Hard storage-check Dennis Kirk
Hope this helps, but it's ultimately up to the application you're need all of this for.

I am pretty sure that a stock Vinson has about 35 hp. I have moose front and rear bumpers on mine. Look at my pics, "me muddy" and you can get an idea of what they look like. You don't have to worry about anyone hitting you with the moose. I am going to get some super swampers for mine too. A friend of mine has 26 ss on his and they are awsome.

Yeah, Moose is good stuff too! How well do those swampers slide? And was there any noticable power loss w/ the 26's?

The ss slide when you want them to and grab when you want them to. He was making it through holes the 589's wouldn't. I don't know about power loss.

dbuz, those are some really cool pics. All the utes that ride with us usually stay clean. Nice to see some that get a little dirty!

Did anything happen to the eiger that flipped? WHat about the guy on it? Seems like it coulda crushed him. That almost happened to my brother once. He was coming out of this muck hole and the bike just shot up, almost falling back. Luckily, he was able to push himself off of it and bike fell forward as he fell into the nastiest mud I've ever seen.

That's my friends wife. She fell back in the water. No harm done. She has flipped about 3 or 4 times, never hurt though. Her husband was trying to keep up with a yfz450 a couple of months ago on his Vinson and that's another story. He and the atv were banged up pretty good. I'm waiting on the z450 to come out and I will probably get a alba z450. We have some pretty nice places to ride around here. I've only rolled mine over 3 times - doing doughnuts twice and riding sideways on a hill. I've went over the handle bars once. I have been lucky as crazy as I get sometimes. That's why I can't wait to get a racing one.
