That's probably a good idea. Who knows if that bottom end has ever been torn down. It would suck to get the top end done only to have a crank seal start to leak.

Now I know why Zuki designed the front bumper like they did. Makes it easy to tow.

thats what happened to my lt.the wristpin washer broke and locked up the top end.i rebuilt it but i left the washers out.so far i have had no problems and it probably has 20 or so hrs on it.some people say that its a bad idea to because the bearing will move out of place.i called weisco and they told me that i didnt have to use them on my wristpin if i had them on the crank pin.so i didnt use them.no worries about them breaking now.

I am in the process of selling a xr100 to a guy in ohio, he jsut happens to work at Wiseco as an engineer, he told me this " As for the Suzuki, yes, you do need the washers. That engine is top
guided
and without the washers you run the risk of the rod "walking" over and
catching something on the crank."

Because my bike didnt hav ethe washers and i was paranoid... Another funny thing he told me was "It's kind of funny that you have an LT250, I just finished a piston
print
for a customer wanting 97mm pistons for an LT500! Talk about a monster,
that
would make it an LT635! That would be a ride. "

1987lt250r if your ever in the port huron area we should meet up.

Mark
