There's always something bigger and better around the bend. Give up the chase and upgrade what ya got. Don't you think its cooler to own a modded older bike than a stock, one year newer version?

i would wait for the z450 to come out, and then trade in my quad, or just do like the others say, and mod it.

Nah, the trade-in or even selling it would not be worth the money lost.

I am still amazed at how many people just don't see the potential of this bike. If you pipe it, help it breath, and put a decent carb (FCR 40) you will have a very fast bike and you have not even split the cases. Another big oversight is the suspension. Money spent on suspension will make the bike faster. If you go with some triple rates and widen it just a bit (+2) you will have something to make a 450 worry.

If you sell the quad you will have to pony up another $1,000 for the '05 and that could be spent on a pipe, carb and shocks (ok little more than a 1K but not a whole lot). You would have a better bike than the '05.
