I wish we did! We're thinking of buying land somewhere just to be able to ride. Everywhere around here is so far away except the local place, which seems to be always closed if it sprinkles a little.

Default Anyone have tracks at their house?

I have recently been racing my quad round the local farm land. I have managed to find about 30 acers of woodland that i have made an amazing trail. But the only thing i didnt do was ask the farmers before hand. Woops. They have sepent hundreds on new signs saying ''NO ENTRY. CONSERVATION AREA!!!'' I am now restricted to the single track tarmack road, which is quite dull unless it rains.

Never did understand that track business. You go round and round and round, like a button on an outhouse door. At the end of the day you haven't been anywhere and you haven't seen anything new. But some folks obviously like it, so there ya go. At least if you break down you are not far from home.

There are different types of riders. Some are riding to be fast and compete with others. For them the scenery doesn’t matter only how fast they can go around the track. Others are sport riders that ride just for the fun of riding and therefore prefer changing scenery and terrain. Some don’t even go in a circle, just a straight line with the throttle pinned. You don’t understand riding on a track because you ride for different reasons like me.

I prefer woods riding and hill climbs but might make a small track in the future just for test riding and to play around on when there isn’t time to load up and drive 40 minutes to the nearest legal riding area. I don’t have a place to build one now but in 2 years or so I'm going to be buying a home with hopefully 1-2 acres and could have a small track there around the perimeter.

Real good idea. They would have likely said no anyway. But had you asked it would be the same outcome except that the farmers wouldn’t hate ATVs because you trespassed on their land.

I have a track that runs right into the Pennsylvania Tensions. Up there me and my friends made a 2 Hill double wide drag strip so we can race. No accidents so far. We also have various trails that run through the woods, such as an 7 to 8 mile endurance track that weaves in and out of trees, and a bunch more that other people have made. The main "cruisin" trail runs forever it seems. I can go all the way from my house (Warren, PA) to Ludlow, PA. Its a pretty long "Hike" . lol. Peace

I have 225 acres and powerlines, it makes for good riding. I live in the country so all my friends and neighbors have places to ride. A guy down the street has a track with doubles and that is fun, between powerlins and traintracks you can ride anywhere.
