ahahah!!! that's too funny! Step-dad use to have an old `70s somethin 175 that the throttle would stick... and we'd have to shut it off, or pull the clutch and rev it a few times...

btw, I think that blue zilla is SAWEEET!!! looking... Best lookin Zilla I've seen...

Hey man I like it. It's different so that is great in my book. Besides you just can't go wrong with a 500.

When I first read the title of this post, I honestly thought it was gonna be ugly, but I stand corrected. Are those Maiers? I think I may have found my next color.

BTW, if they are Maiers, how was fittment?

Thanks for the feedback
That is the new shiney plastic from maier and it fit really well. I have all the factory supports plus a couple of connectors i made up to join the front and back sections. Some people we saw last weekend while out riding felt the new glossy plastic made it look more up to date, some thought it was a Yamaha.
the FMF sticker kit was for a raptor and fit pretty nice.

I AGREE!!!!!!
That is lookin very up to date, it's amazing what the blue & shiny plastic did for the looks of the machine! So the Raptor stickers fit that huh, without any trim work??Very Nice machine!!
How did you figure out the sticker situation..what made you think it would match up???I'm askin cause now you got me thinkin that there are decals for this machine that may fit perfectly
without alterations.I can't wait to get some bucks saved up so I can get my project up and runin!
Your given us some hope!

I had to do a little trimming to get the decals to fit, but it was mostly on the back edge by the seat and was maybe an inch or so and just taking the corner off. I looked at the shape of the raptor through the gas tank and seat area and took a chance. Using the Yamaha blue also didn't hurt. I think that using one color and not separating the hood from the fenders makes the nose look a little taller and shorter maybe.
