Default Lowering the Z400

What is the best way to lower the Z in the rear? I race XC so I cant really give up ground clearance. I have heard of fabricating new shock linkage but it puts the shock down too far and kills all hopes of ground clearance. Any suggestions?

Gain weight...or drop some serious cash on a new swing arm that use a more clearance friendly shock set up?

ELKA SUSPENSION makes a link that drops the rear down about a inch but it does cost almost 2 bills

Hey mucky, that's what he DOESN'T want. He wants to drop the suspension w/o losing clearance under the linkage.

You can still use the link and yes it does lower the bike a little but it
also gives you longer swingarm travel
but you can adjust your preload springs .
thats what I had to do to gain clearance and still keep the suspension level
and changing the swingarm might not help because most aftermarket arms are built
to the same specs as stock but are lighter and stronger and sometimes longer
or you get bigger tires and regear the bike to handle it and then use the link bar
to compensate for the height
