does this fan have a fused link??
Bike runs great however heats up when im just going slow...temp light turns on but no fan...it used to come on whenever i was just idling but now nothing. I didnt have pliers to pull out all of the fuses only got a 10 amp out which turned out fine.
bike RIPS now with the exhaust and jet kit...need new tires bad and a clutch kit wouldnt hurt any..

I don't know your machine at all but I would think that there is a fuse in that line somewhere.
If you can't find it pull it up on Ronnies "Micro fiche" parts web site, that should show you where to look for it. Maybe also you might have a loose ground wire going to that could be that simple
{lets hope}!!! Let us know what ya find.

Check the fuse 1st. Also check the contact that directly....uh....contact the fan motor. Your owners manual should have a simple wiring schem. in it. What's the direct name of the Micro Fiche(sp?) web sight? Could be VERY handy in the future!

ok i disconnected the wire from the back of the radiator temperature sending unit (its a small connector that has 2 wires into it)
I bridged the two contacts together by taking a piece of wire and just jumping it between the two wires and it made my fan turn a few times at extremely low speed. then it would stop and not turn at all. I think my radiator fan is just no good. Would my manufacturers 6 month warranty cover that or is that null and void because i didnt have them service the bike there?

Should be covered. Warranty work makes $ for the dealers, as they charge full labor back to the factory. Have you checked the voltage back from the fan motor? With a test light. You may have a short. But, it sounds light the fan motor is gone.
Sorry I couldn't get you going.

with a test light I got a bright light when i checked the leads...however the fan still didnt go. I dropped it off at the dealer just about an hour ago i hate my life without a quad to ride. I dont want to go back to the eigers and tool around on those...they are soo much slower than my vinson.
I did however order the dalton clutch kit while i was there i should have that sometime next week.
