Default help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My old LT 185 just wont run right. It used to run perfect it started first pull every time and would idle all day if i let it. and then i noticed that the old air filter was getting really bad so i bought a uni filter for it. I oiled it up using there oil and i put it on. after that It wouldnt run right it would run sorta funny and then when you would stop it would just studder and then die out and then it would be really hard to start again. so i pulled it into the shop and tried to adjust the carb then i could get to idle fairly good but then it wouldnt start after i stoped it. I have just chem dipped the carb and i am sure i put everything back together right what do yall think it could be. i have just ran out of ideas

thanks in advance

try starting it without the filter, and see if it makes a difference, mabey you used to much oil, and the thing is not getting enough air.
