You're not really doing anything wrong. It's seized, no question. The swingarm bolts tend to seize on LTs because of the aluminum swingarm. Aluminum swingarm + steel swingarm bolt = seized bolt. Incompatible metals do not like each other. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] When you reassemble everything (provided the bolt doesn't get destroyed upon removal), remember that anti-seize compound is your friend.

you just gotta beat it out, i just tries to take out mine and it was a bitch. if u need another bolt, i have one $30 +S&H
put plenty of lube on it when u got to put it back together |

Many hits with large hammer will remove frustration and bolt.

When I took apart my "new" 91 LT, I beat up the bolt pretty bad, got a new one for $40 at my dealer [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Parting it out? Then it's easy..... slice that badboy with a sawzall.
Mine siezed to the swingarm bushing. After I cut it out, I tried beating it with a sledge till I was blue in the face and it still didn't seperate. |
