I was just given a 86 LT250R by a friend, it was missing the exhaust system and I bought a Paul Turner system for dirt cheap, but it's from an 89 model. So my first question is how do I install this system? It dosen't have a flange to bolt it on the engine, but spring hooks. My second question is I plan to run a UNI air filter and lose the airbox lid with this exhaust, so how should I jet the carb? The main jet is a 200. Is this stock? I'm in central Texas so altitude would be close to sea level. Someone please help!!!!

 

the exhaust is not gonna work...the 85-86 models were completely different from the 87-92...

 

Thanks for the info. I still plan to use an aftermarket exhaust system, so that still leaves the question of jetting

 

umm..ur just gonna have to get it all together and check your plug. White is lean black is rich. You want a cardboard or tan color.
