is it normal for them to shake alot?


one guy told me, when he bought his it didnt shake and it progressivly shook more and more as it got older

 

i heard that they vibrate alot

 

check all the bearings...my 250 would wander and shake and vibrate very bad...i replaced all the bearings and bushings, and got the front end all adjusted, and she finally got rid of all the shaking. But i have heard the 500's vibrate a little more due to the huge piston, but i have never rode one, so i cant say for myself.

 

Do you mean shake or vibrate? They tend to vibrate more than other quads since its a big single cyl. The shake part could be from bent rims, bent axle, out of round tires, worn tie rod ends, ect.

 

i mean vibrate from the engine

 

balance shaft is probably not installed correctly. it does have to be timed to the crankshaft.

 

i lined up the 2 marks

 

Man hopefully the main's are'nt goin,or the big end rod bearing's.

 

Did you check all the engine mount's??

 

they are all tight, the bearings are in good shape


dont you guys say they vibrate alot anywayz?
