Z400 to low for the Mud
#1
I was out riding with some friends yesterday and i kept getting suuck in the mud. One of the guys had a 350 warrior and he went right through the mud. And when it was my turn i would hit the skid plate and it would pick the rearend up and then i was all done. The tires on the warrior look to be slimmer then mine and bigger from top to bottom. Has anyoine ever changed the size of the tires on there Z? I just wonder what it would do to the tranny. One thing i can say is once we hit some harder surfaces i was gone........

I noticed the same thing on my Z. But the reason you are getting stuck more often is because of the way the your aftermarket skid plate sits on the swing arm. This happend to me and i removed skid plate and put the stocker on and it was no problem.

I tryed it once put 22 inch on the rear and had to figure out my gearing because it was way to high
after a while I gave up and went back to 20's . the 22's are nice great top speed but very slow on take off

I ordered the new Holeshot HD's. They're wider and supposed to be great in the mud. Plus they're 6 ply. I ordered them 2 months ago. I guess ITP had a problem with the molds for them and had to remake them. They say they'll be done by the end of July. Might be an option for ya.
