King Quad cylinder head
You can compare the part numbers at www.bikebandit.com or other online parts place. But they probably won't match up.
Refering to my service manual the 250 has a bore/stroke of 66.0x72mm and the 280 is 68.5x76mm. So the bore and stroke is larger on the 280 therefor the recess in the 250 head would be smaller(if recessed at all. Everything else considered I would bet that they're almost the same. Picture a 307, 327, 350 chevy engine or a Pontiac 350, 400, 428, 455 engine. I had a Pontiac firebird and all the heads interchanged. As long as the piston didn't go above the cylinder you might get away with it(from the manual the piston is a flat top).
But all that said I probably wouldn't try unless I got the head for nothing or knew someone who had done this before.
As mentioned Ebay a good source for some used parts.
Good Luck,
Rob
