Default Winch question?

What all do i need to add a winch to my eiger. I already heve the prewired connections coming out the front for the hookup. Do i have to have a mounting bracket or will it come with the winch? And how much will it cost for what i need. Thanks for the help!

Yes you will need a mounting bracket for the winch. They usually bring all the wires for installation with them. They are easy to install. Which brand did you get? I always thought it was better to get a winch before adding tires. The winch can get you out of more stuff. Enjoy.

Default Winch question?

I picked up a new Warn 2.5ci, roller fairlead and winch mount for my '04 Eiger for $315 shipped. I installed it yesterday. I mounted my solenoid pack to the outside of the rear tool box. The rear wiring connection are behind the tool box. The wiring connections for the rocker switch are under the plastic cap that goes over the speedometer. These were the hardest to find b/c of how they were placed but after a lot of inspecting I found them. Only wires you need to run are from the battery to the solenoid pack. Dumb design here because the screw is very short and adding the winch wire to the battery makes it very difficult to screw the terminal back into the "floating" nut. Solved problem by sliding a little piece of paper underneath the nut to keep it raised up and then was able to tighten everything back down. Now I'm ready to go ride.
