Nothing against the Raptor 350, but if you get the Z, maybe you wouldn't have to upgrade so fast. Really, just do your research, see the specs of them all, see what's right for you. Do you want reverse? Go sit on them at a dealership.

Trust what they're saying! If you don't get a 400EX or Z now, you will be wishing you did later..............

I like the Z400, but the 400ex is a close second(could go either way depending on rider).Like these guys said,If you buy the Raptor 350 you will be kicking yourself later......

Well, when you consider that Dirt Wheels Mag. Just proclaimed the 300EX (basically unchanged since '92 and vastly inferior to the 400's) to be a better quad than th 350 Raptor (a slightly lighter, and much better looking version of the Warrior), I should think there would be no doubt as to which direction to go. Not to discount the 350. As the Warrior it sold more units than any other quad ever. It's a great all around quad, and can be made to compete with most of the other current 4 strokes. If you are talking about a new machine from the dealer, understand that you can build a whole lot of "USED" bike for the cost of new. You can click on the Camera Icon below my user name to see pics. and know that, THAT quad (a Z400) was built for less than the cost of a new 350 Raptor off the showroom floor! Take your time. Every time I see the Raptor I have to admit that I kind of want one, but would I give up my EX or my girlfriend's Z? Not a chance! Does that mean it's not the right bike for you? No.
BTW. Have yo given any thought to modding your Ozark? I happen to think it has HUGE untapped potential. Come to think of it, I wouldn't trade our Ozark for the 300EX that's rated higher than the Raptor 350.

Thats up to you and your checkbook. You can save a lot of $ buying used but if you could swing it I'd buy new for many reasons.
1. 6 month warrantee.
2. You know its history.
just to name a couple..........

I would personally get the Z. After that the Ex. If you are going to get the Warrior I would get an older one and do a full rebuild with better than stock parts.

If you are patient, you can get a nearly mint Z for less than $3500. I believe on average folks are paying around $6500 new. (With taxes, doc. fees etc.) 2 - 3K goes a long way in mods. Just my 2 cents.
