OK....i have an 87 LT 80....heres the story....i bought it off this dude for 50 bucks....he says his cousin rode it and then tried to put water in the gastank to make more gas...what a dumbass....so anyway, i've cleaned the carb....rebuilt it....has pretty decent compression...the only thing is that it will start but only run with the choke on....even after it gets warmed up...if you give it more than 1/3rd throttle....it bogs....please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you make sure the carb is spotless (blow out all ports and tiny passages) and it still bogs, try jacking up the back end and run it with the tires off the ground. If it revs better, you may have gummed up clutch weights or the sheaves on the front or rear aren't opening and letting the engine rev, so it bogs and makes no power. I bought my son an 87 LT80, it ran fine, but had no power unless you let it run a long way, it would gradually get faster, but never go fast, and the bottom end was so bad, it would barely go up any incline without squealing the belt and barely moving. I took the belt cover off to check the clutches, the front weights were jammed, and the shaft it moved on rusty, cleaned that up, then went to the back pulley, it was locked at about 1/4 open, took it completely apart, it was jammed full of dirt and dry grease so the sheaves couldn't move. after cleaning it up, and replacing the weights ( actually, I milled new nylon sleeves for the metal rollers) it ran like a champ, spin the tires from a stop, and had great top end and revved real good. One more thing to check, take the drain plug from the bottom of the muffler, and see if a lot of oil/ moisture drains out. No 2 stroke will run for beans with a plugged up exhaust, some have even had to heat the muffler up with a torch to burn all the crud out to make them run right.
