I just finished my mods (which in result my exhaust pipe glows red and it pops back severely when I romp on the throttle...

what was the cause of this problem again?

I am at sea level with a number '128' dynojet (142 main I believe)...with airbox cover on...mixture screw out I believe 3 1/8 turns.

Richen the mixture....Bigger jet. Hey I live right up the street from B.Bay (about 1 mile) in S. Plymouth, we ought to go riding some time. I bought my Z400 at Wareham Suzuki.

 

yea it'd be fun man...

how can I go up a bigger jet when im already using the biggest one they have??

However my jet kit had one of those needle clip settings...where should that be?

Do you mean the biggest jet in the kit, or did you go to a dealer and ask for a bigger jet. There could be bigger ones outside the kit.

 

u can get bigger ones from dealer for around 4 bucks each.

 

I used the biggest within the Jet kit. WHats the needle clip position supposed to be? I dont remember which one I left it on however I know I dont like how it seems to pop back at high rpm...runs better choked id say.
