i was looking on dennis kirk at the k&n air filters and i saw the k&n powerlid, and i was wondering if i got one of them can i still go mud riding without worrieng about stuff getting into my enigne and if thye help out power alot. Also i i was wondering witch airfilter will increase power the most for my z. Then my last question about the hmf pipe here is a link to the site i would most likly purchase it fromHere . And i dont no witch one to get the one tht says no spark arrestor or the other one and witch ever one is louder is the one i woudl get. Also the dyno jet kit on dennis kirk is that a good jet kit for the hmf complete system?

i have the hmf too i love it. u dont really need a jet kit if u run a really fat jet .. i have 165 dyno jet in mine with stock needle and white bros power filter..

 

alright....the only time u need a spark arrestor is if you plan to ride in state parks. All the spark arrestor is, basically a big thick screen that when sprks hit it they extiguish, if u don't get a spark arrestor it will be louder by atleast 5-10 db's

 

mine has the spark arrestor but its still loud like 98 db s

 

what about a k&n powerlid? any of you guys heard anythign on that?

 

if you have a k an n filter you really dont need the power lid
all the power lid does is replace the stock air box lid with another filter
if you ride in very dusty areas it would be great
but if not its just a waist (my opinion)
I have just a k an n filter with no lid and the bottom cut out
no problems here and I ride in lots of dirt
