I going to pre order a KQ next week however I had some questions. Does anyone know the story behind the 700cc single piston motor? Has it been used before or is it totally new? I really was looking for a Quad that had IRS, EFI, Pull start, Adjustable susp, Locking Diff and the KQ has it all. I'm just nervous about the motor history and the EFI system.

It's Suzuki. If I had to put money on any EFI system, it would probably be them. The engine will be fine, they are no slouch in the motor-building department either. Just get the warranty if you're worried about it enough and don't look back. Have fun with your new KingQuad, it's a beast.

 

I read something about them putting their motorcycle motor technology into atvs, probably from the motocross bikes. I think the motors will be fine, they beat the hell out of them.

 

youre right they did put some of their motorcycle, as in gsxr street bike, tech into that new 700...the valves and head incorporate some of their gsxr design elements and the efi is developed straight from it...very similar ecm and the injector/sensors/etc are very sinilar..im sure it is a good motor...im a suzuki guy...(gsxr, z400, and a twin peaks)..but for a big ute quad i would never go back to a single after riding kaws vtwin now..

 

Why BigSix? Why wouldnt you go back? Sound maybe?
