Default Lt 80cc OilPump Trashed ?

Kids ran oil res. dry, engine quit. Filled up with new oil, went 100 yard quit again----- Compresssion is 125 and I pulled off oil line to carb & turned engine over & no oil came out of line. Is it possible running engine dry for a little bit burned out oil pump? Also do these machines have shut off sensors to prevent piston burnout when hot 2002 LT 80cc

You have to replace the oil pump and no, the LT80 doesn't have a shut off switch so somthing else is probably wrong. My advice to you is to take the engin apart and make sure everything is okay. Hope this helps.

I don't like to rely on the oil pump anyway, disconnect it and mix your own. Thats also cheaper than replacing the pump.
