Default Got 52mph in 300' with my new KQ700

I just got my new red one home after trying out it against a SP700EFI. Both quads I felt performed very equal, exceleration, handleing and comfy ride. But since I plan on racing, weight was the deciding factor. So when I got it home, I have about a 400' straight away in my driveway that is pre-marked for 300'. So I decided to see what the KQ can do. Right at the end of 300', the speedo rear 52MPH. I thought that was good for a utility. I don't know how that compares to others out there, but it made me happpy. Going to put it to a good test tommorow.

if i read right, you're saying that acceleration wise your new KQ felt about the same as a sp700 EFI. wow, that's suprising, i figured the KQ would feel alot stronger.

52 mph in 300' during break in is really good. as i recall KOD was struggling to hit 50mph in 350' on his highly modded p650. and im talkin really highly modded.

hey, you think you could do that same run but time it? im curious to know how much time that took. and if u feel like it, maybe do some 0-30, 0-60, and 0-top speed runs. no problem if u dont want to be the guinee pig during break in tho.

I will be taking it out for a 45 mile run today. I have a GNCC race next weekend in Ohio, and if I feel comfy on it after today, I will race it. There is a section I should be able to get it to near top speed. As far as the speed goes, Im only going off of what the speedo says. So you can't take the speed as set. The speedo could be off. But after having a V-force for a year and a half, this thing doesn't hit at the bottom like it, but the mid and top are great. In my driveway I got it to 58mph and still felt a lot more to go.

Doesn't hit as hard on the bottom end. But, it's a totally different type of machine. So, I try not to compare it to the V Force in that sense.

If the low end does become a problem, then a HMF pipe will do wonders. some people have described it as a built in trait from the factory. like retarded ignition timing maybe? if thats the case then a dyna cdi or High Lifter icm may be on the way. i hope.
