Default I need Z400 help!

I bought a pro-circuit t-4 silencer, uni filter, and dyna jet kit. I spent all night jetting it and adjusting the clip for the slide. Well my friends stock Z is a hair faster no matter what we do when they used to be the exact same. Mine does have more torque now, but I never heard of a pipe making it slower. I have tried about 20 different jetting combinations, and got the best one possible, nice and smooth, burns clean, and it still will not run right. If anyone can explain something I may be doing wrong or if has had a bad experience with pro circuit, please help me out. I have never had this much trouble with a silencer.

What main jet did you put in? I got the whole system with a K & N and no lid and i run a 165. It runs a lot stronger than stock but i haven't dragged anything yet.

Is your airbox lid off??? That engine really likes to breathe! I put on the EHS lid, with a water repellent Outerwears cover (http://www.ehsracing.com/), and I would highly recommend a Pro-Flow air filter mod (http://www.prodesignracing.com/main.htm).

If you run in mud and water and can't open it up completely, at least install some UNI vents, or something.

Im going to go out and try it with the lid off and see what happens, if that works I will have to go with the ser lid. I have also heard that the dyna jets flow different, have any of you guys heard this before?

btw, reconranger, does the ehs lid do good on preventing dust and water from getting thruogh?

Yeah, the lid needs to be off, or opened up to say the least, the pipe won't let any air out if it can't get it in! Take it for a spin with the lid off to see if there's a diff.

The Outerwears filters out the bigger stuff, leaving your air filter to only have to deal with the little stuff. The dirt doesn't stick to it, and you can clean it out on the trail by just shaking it off. For a good cleaning, just run water through it backward.

Have not been in any serious water. It is water repellent, not waterproof.

Thanx a lot everyone, recon your suggestion was the key. I pulled the airbox lid off and had to go up a few jet sizes and it is pulling a lot harder now. It definately has more torque than anything. Im usually not in any deep water or serious mud so the esr lid should do.

My last question, (I think) I have it jetted great for no lid, will the esr kit effect the jetting?

Thanx again everyone, I really appreciate it,
-Brandon
