Not sure of any shops since this conversion is rare. Ask Duneaddict about it, he has a conversion going on. Also, the MacDizzy forum that you are apart of has a LT250/500 thread, might ask some questions there.

I don't think you'll find anyone that you can just send your frame to and they'll return it ready to install a zilla engine in. You can put the 500 in your frame with the swingarm pivot bolt and see where everything needs to be. Any competent welder/fabricator should be able to make what you need. Look at my gussets, they look pretty good and were done by a steel fabrication shop, and they're going to attach my HSD upper shock mount that is finally getting done along with their a-arms.

I'd do it for you, but freight alone would be cost prohibitive. There's really nothing to it as it requires very little fabrication... Not to mention I'm moving closer to the sand dunes, so i'll be out of commission until after the first of the year.
PM me if you want to talk about it.

Sam has some good advise, once you have the motor in via the swingarm bolt, just about any fabrication shop should be able to build the front two motor mount tubes, and clearance the spine for the spark plug... I'm working on some really trick suspension upgrades for the old LT's also... (No more full floater rear end, just a no-link monoshock with ~10-12" of travel) I'm working on the '85 chassis as they are the lightest ever produced (Not to mention that's what I am fortunate to have)

There are some chain alignment issues to deal with, but the biggest issue is exhaust... unless your lucky enough to find an old hybid pipe (I've seen them on Fleabay)....

Good luck to ya!

800, if your going through all this I assume your no longer selling or parting out. I was interested in those a-arms if you ever want to dump them.

Hey Duneaddict, do you already have a pipe for your hybrid? I saw an old post over on the dizzy that the Dr. might be interested in making a few hybrid pipes if there was enough demand. If you still need one, then you, 800 and I make three. Think he might go for it?
