King Quad Belt Problems?
#11
You should not be so concerned about replacing the belt.It will last a LONG time(it's not a polaris or Kawi belt system)If the Suzuki is anything like the Yamaha's belt system you will have absolutely NO worries.

The belt is easy to change, alright, but getting the belt tension on a Kawie P650 properly adjusted is the hassle. Belt tension is adjusted by shimming the driven pulley and that is a trial and error situation and can envolve more than one stab at it. Then you must have a couple of special tools in order to do it. For this old man, it is a couple of hours of work to get it set up correctly. However, as Snowwolf put it. I can live with that when I like what I am riding better than anything available. I will buy a Service Manual with the KQ and do whatever is necessary to keep the belt right. Too bad there are not many dealer technicians that can do the job right There must be some out there somewhere, but I have yet to run across one.
